Storm Damage Repair & Reclaiming Garden
Over the last few months, we have had the mammoth task of working on this storm-damaged coastal garden. The client’s wall collapsed during a recent storm, leaving his garden exposed to the North Sea.
Before

After
We reclaimed the stones from the damaged wall, re-built it, supplied and fitted gabions to protect the garden, replaced the fence which was damaged and built a gate for privacy, lifted and relayed the footpath to the house, which was hidden by years of soil moving, then we cleared the garden of all the old grass and weeds, then seeded it with grass seed suitable for the climate.

Front Garden Renovation
We were tasked with converting this front garden from a typical shrub garden to a low-maintenance, modern-looking garden where the clients could sit and relax.
We lifted the old lawn and shrubbery, leaving a few of the client’s favourite shrubs. We then laid a block paving path with a contrasting Indian sandstone grey random slab patio and charcoal grey block edging. The client also wanted space left for some ornamental hedging plants.

Grey Composite Decking
Our client needed to replace old-style tiered decking in his back garden. They opted for grey composite decking to give it a more modern feel, with lighting to highlight the steps in the evening.
This decking can be located at suppliers such as Nustone.

Garden Renovation with Porcelain Patio, Fencing and Retaining Wall
This project was a testament to the transformative power of our services. We took a neglected back garden and turned it into a beautiful and functional space that perfectly matched the client’s needs. The process began with the construction of a 6-foot fence, ensuring privacy for the Edinburgh property. High-quality sarking boards were used on the exterior for stability, and the fence was further reinforced with double-layered 50mm treated batons for added durability.
To support the upper level, we built retaining block walls rendered in a crisp white finish. This level features a custom-built pergola, creating a stylish and functional outdoor area complemented by a porcelain patio base that ties the design together. A raised lawn was also incorporated to provide a safe and secure area for children to play, giving the client peace of mind.
On the lower level, we designed a patio and steps made from matching porcelain slabs, ensuring visual cohesion throughout the entire garden. Finally, a utility area was seamlessly integrated around the side of the property, further enhancing the overall functionality of the space. The result is a perfect blend of aesthetics, durability, and practicality that aligns with the client’s unique vision.

Porcelain Patio with Marshalls Symphony Classic Barley
We were thrilled with the outcome of this project. The client chose a Porcelain Slab for their Patio in Marshalls Symphony Classic Barley with Black Edging and, to complete the look, a Porcelain Slab in a Wood Plank Effect Circle.

Patio & Water Feature
We want to share this garden with you because it was such an interesting project. The client wanted to break up the view of the boundary walls by creating a seating area and patio that would match the walls and be a subtle addition to the garden. A Marshalls Fairstone Sawn Versuro Slab in antique silver was chosen.
A trellis was added to the walls so that climbers could be planted and create a soft break in the eyeliner.

Before & After
This garden was lovely in its own right, but the clients were finding its layout a little too difficult to maintain. We added retaining walls to give a tiered effect, with steps leading down to the existing decking area and a pergola for climbing plants to create a hidden garden area leading to the decking.

Lawn, Decking and Bedding
This garden started out as a tiered gravel-filled area with little to enjoy; we lifted the gravel, built a decking area, and laid a lawn with a little patio area for the client’s barbeque to sit. To finish off the garden, we added a sleeper border to the bedding area and added a fan-shaped trellis to the fence for climbing plants to grow, softening up the fencing.

Trellis
We had a nice little project with this client’s garden. They had a large fuel storage tank that they wanted to hide but still required access to. We fitted a Trellis around the tank and laid a buff-textured slab and pea gravel to finish the effect.

Low Maintenace
For this project, the client wanted a low-maintenance theme. Peter designed drawings that included raised beds, composite decking, and a water feature.
This is the result. It’s ideal for pottering around, whether you have mobility issues or are wheelchair-bound. It can be planted out with sensory plants for feel and scent and filled with vegetables of your choice.
The beds can be designed to a height that suits your needs, allowing you to plant, weed, and enjoy the outdoors at any time.
